Meeting Reflective Statement

Me and my group held a meeting on November 4th to talk about how we can increase the sense of belonging and college spirit at ADMC. The meeting started at 3:40 PM and ended at 400 PM. Our group consisted of 5 members: I was the chairman, Hussain was the minute taker, Jasem ,Salem and Khalid were the participants but Salem didn't attend.

As chairman I think the most difficult part for us was when we had to come up with points to discuss regarding the topic in 10 minutes. We did some brainstorming but that resulted in general ideas only which we didn’t have the chance to discuss them in depth in the actual meeting so this was a critical point for our group First we looked at the opportunity for providing some facilities, including a purpose-built hall which could include, for example entertainment rooms for students and college staff.

We also discussed conducting regular events that would improve social life on campus. After that, we looked on how to have college administrators consider plans for vacation activities such as camping or study tours. Then we suggested the idea of building a social website like a forum or chatroom to help improve the social life in every possible way. Lastly, we decided to write our recommendations and discuss the budget to implement the plan. Aside from that I can honestly say that the participation from the group members has been very impressive although we had one member missing.

At the end of our meeting we came up with a number of goals and I assigned tasks to each member so we can achieve those goals and then hand our results to ADMC Administrators. I thank Hussain for providing us with refreshments at each of our meetings. It helped to develop the character of our meetings and we greatly appreciate it. Special thanks to MR.virhovnik for continued support and guidance.

Dear Ms. Salwa Al-Noaimi

I am interested in working for your company as an IT Engineer because I reviewed your company online and I thought it would be a perfect fit between my skills and your IT needs.

As you will see from my attached c.v, I have studied IT for 2 years at Abu Dhabi Men’s College and I expect to graduate in 2014. Also you will see that my skills and experience match the IT positions you are filling in your company so if possible I would like to work for you while studying.

I have also taken the ICDL course at Zayed University as well as a summer course at your company for about two months so I am familiar with the nature of your work IT department.

My communication skills are excellent both in Arabic and English written and spoken; I also have experience in some programs and networking aspects as well as disassembling a computer and putting it back together all of this acquired from the years I studied in HCT. I am still learning new stuff that I’m sure if applied at work it will be to the benefit of the company.

I’m looking forward to attend an interview with your company at any time every day after 4 o’clock.

I will call your office next week to confirm that you received my letter and to make sure if you have any questions for me. I would be delighted to discuss with you my CV and plans for development at your convenience.
Thank you for your consideration, I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
